Yes, I went last week; but I still feel horrible.<\/span><\/p>\n

[What did he say you have?]<\/span><\/p>\n

Some weird disease I never heard of: Hamartia.**<\/span><\/p>\n

[Well, didn\u2019t he do anything for you?]<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh, yes, he wrote me a prescription for some high-powered medication.<\/span><\/p>\n

[Did you get it filled?]<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, I went straight to the drug store and got the medication from the pharmacist.<\/span><\/p>\n

[I can\u2019t figure why you aren\u2019t any better.]<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, I don\u2019t know either. Maybe if I\u2019m not better in another month or two, I\u2019ll take the medicine.<\/span><\/p>\n

[WHAT? You mean you haven\u2019t taken your medicine?]<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course not. Why would I?<\/span><\/p>\n

[Because you aren\u2019t going to get any better if you don\u2019t, that\u2019s why!]<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ll be just fine. I have confidence in my doctor. He can cure me. I know he can.<\/span><\/p>\n

[But your doctor is the one who gave you the prescription! If you really have confidence in him, shouldn\u2019t you follow his orders?]<\/span><\/p>\n

Well . . . um . . . uh . . . well . . .<\/span><\/p>\n

Believe <\/strong>(put your confident trust) in Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Mark 16:16; John 8:24)<\/span><\/p>\n

Repent <\/strong>of all sins (Acts 2:38; 17:30). That is, let your godly sorrow for your sins move you to change your mind, resulting in a change in your behavior (2 Corinthians 7:10).<\/span><\/p>\n

Confess <\/strong>with your mouth that you believe Jesus is the Son of God (Acts 8:37; Romans 10:9, 10).<\/span><\/p>\n

Be baptized <\/strong>(immersed in water) for the remission of sins (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3, 4; 1 Peter 3:21).<\/span><\/p>\n

**Hamartia <\/strong>is the New Testament Greek word for sin<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
